I think this question has been asked and answered before, but at that time I didn't have a DVD burner. Now I have one and I would like to take some of my SVCD(480x480) and author them to DVD(720x480). I have taken some of my SVCDs and reencoded them with TMPGEnc and burned them and they look great on my old 53in Sony, but what I want is to reencode them to true 16x9. No perm black borders on top and bottom so when played on a 16x9 set it will fill the screen. If someone could point me in the right direction I have no prob RTFM![]()

Crop the black borders with tmpgenc(under settings->advanced->clip frame) and then set it to 16:9(under settings->video->aspect ratio). It is basicly the same as using the zoom on your dvd or tv, you wont get any better quality.
And this is not authoring so I'm moving you.
