We finally got our first snowfall this season. I just snapped this a few minutes ago from the MBR deck, looking southeast. It may be hard to see, but it's snowing like hell now It's about time We get so little snow, I miss it

    Hello,

    NASTY!

Our first snowfall in southeastern Michigan was last Wednesday before Thanksgiving...

There was minor flurries before but this stuff stuck...

Anyone want to adopt/host an Aussie for the summer/winter (depending on where you live)

Well the snow has let up ...it's very small flakes now. Earlier I thought we might have a decent accumulation. Not much all told. They still closed half the schools in the county and closed both interstates outside of town.

They're so funny here ...they panic when it snows

This is from a few minutes ago. Hardly anything stuck :P :

Well, let me tell you just how much I hate you!!! :P :P :P

I'm looking outside, watching the little squirrel gathering
his nuts for the winter. That poor little fella. His nuts
    are frozen to the ground.

Ohh ...we don't do too badly in the scenery department. Here are a couple shots in the same general direction, and the last one is looking straight east from that deck off the MBR (yes, master bedroom). That's Albuquerque spread out there, and it's breathtaking at night:

in KC we had snow the tuesday night before thanksgiving, about 6 inches or so. Supposed to get another 2 inches or so today.

But it is melting away quite fast since the normal day temps are still in the 40's, so it only stays for about 2 days.

    Hello,

Well when you have to ship in emergency snow equipment the roads can get treacherous!

Same here. The way they react you'd think it was fire raining down ...close the schools ...close the roads ...we wouldn't want little Chelsea and little Sky to actually get snow on their boots. Or the locals to actually learn how to drive in it Perish the thought :P

They will close the schools sometimes, can't say I blame them. Driving around here is like going on a rollercoaster ride..... up the hill, down the hill, up the hill, down the hill

Oh they make up for it. Once they get going they'll be doing 20-over or 30-over on all the roads :P Albuquerque has to rank right up there with Boston for the country's worst drivers

I've had all FWD cars and a Ford 4WD pickup. I wouldn't know how to get anything else moving in the snow....

Snowing in Oklahoma right now. I know what you mean Cap'. I used to live in Farmington NM and they would close down the schools almost at the first sight of any flurry! I miss the sceenery but not the traffic.

Yeah. It's silly. Coming from Chicago, our first few years here I couldn't stop laughing every time it rained hard or snowed. Now I just shake my head in disgust. It's lost its novelty, I suppose

I can't believe it you guys had snow before us, north Canadian dudes. The last time I remember something was closed due to excessive snowing, I think it was aroung 16 inches in one night. Even then, not always.

The thing here is when it starts snowing, it does not melt. It stays for a long, long, long time

some real light flurries the other day, nothing notable or even enough to be considered "snow".

and before we get the snow, let me just say....

all you 2 wheel driving, Captain Safety MFers who think that a 2 inch dusting of dry snow is cause for driving 30 mph on a State Route need to move the **** off the main road and drive on the back roads and stay the hell out of the way. It's not my fault that you live in the state of Ohio, in Cornfield County USA and decide to buy a Honda instead of a real vehicle. Move your ******* ass so I don't drive a Chevy 4x4 up it accidently.

    Woooosaaaa, WOOOSAaaaaa

    alright...I'm better now.

This resembles Memphis. If you don't like the weather, stick around 20 minutes . . . it will change.

As for snow, we get more Ice than snow. All the risk with little of the profit.

    Hello,

Just had our first MORNING SNOW FALL of the season. We had the bad snow fall the night before Thanksgiving last week. Now this morning we had an inch or two of snow. And the WIND WAS BAD. 20+mph.

Fortunately the roads seemed pretty light and we were going maybe an average of 40mph. I still got in at my normal time without leaving early
