    Extract from what?
I like systems, their application excepted. (George Sand, translated from French), "J'aime beaucoup les systèmes, le cas d'application excepté."

if its extract from DVD, you have to go through the whole
grandma process of rip--demux--transform from PCM to AIFF to MP3.

Or you could use the "dirty south" way
    (he, he, he)
and just HIJACK it to Mp3 from source
    and be done.

If from DVD, use YadeX to rip the track, chapter, or movie to streams. When prompted to save the .m2v stream (the video), select cancel. When prompted to save the .ac3 file (the audio), select OK. Convert your .ac3 file to .mp3 with mAC3dec.

  6. You can use Cinematize if you want an all-in-one solution. Otherwise, you can go the freeware method with something like MTR or YadeX to extract the MPEG Program Stream, then demux with something like bbDemux, then decode with something like mAC3dec. You may be able to extract directly to AC3 elementary streams with YadeX to avoid the demux operation.

I believe that using the freeware method gives you only chapter level extraction resolution so you have to edit it down as needed using QuickTime Pro or your favorite audio editing tool.

  7. How about this neat little program called bd4go http://denisx.dyndns.org/bd4go/ It can convert DVD audio straight from the disc and convert it to aif or wav sound files?

Never actually tried it but heard good things about it

    Good Luck
