    Hello DVD 'ers.

I am researching a new topic on subtitles. I'd like to insert subtitles
in my VOBS (much like DVD's) were I can inlude a them any play in my source ..

(ie, top or bottom; different color; etc)

Right now, the way I'm testing out my encodes authored to DVD disk.. in order
for me to see where I am in the video (time; chapter; title) that's playing on
    my tv set ..

    * either I look for my player (somewhere's) and view the tiny window, or
    * I can have a subtitle with all the above, display at the bottom I guess.

Without having to actually "write" all this info inside the frames using an AVS
    script or other ...

    (
.. Currently, my dvd player lays out.. T01/01 C001/013 T00:00:30 for instance.
.. But it's watermarked inside the video, which could be anoying to some.
.. I would like to incorporate that same text (or similar) but at the bottom on my video,
    .. in the black/boarder area.
    )

How would I do this in a txt file or something, and add it in the VOB encoding,
much like ifoEdit does with it's celltimes.txt file (this holds
the chapter point, in the form of frame numbers) ?

Can anyone give me some suggestions on a approach to this ??

For my widescreen (4:3) aspect ratio encodes (cam footage) I would like to add
this info in the black/boarder areas at the bottom. I was wondering if ifoEdit
can do this. I search around it, but didn't find anything related to subtitles.

    Thanks again for any suggestions,

    Thanks Baldrick..
... subtitle workshop and use subtitlecreator ...
    ...you can import ifoedit.
Actually, I D/L'ed this tool earlier this afternoon.

But, I got lost inside it very quickly. The help file is in HTML and I'm still lost.
Is there a guide or two on how to use this app by any chance ??
    .
or, can someone walk me through an example ??

    I would really appreciate it.
