    I have a phillips hdtv direct view 34 inch and i am trying to connect the jvc dvd player via the component cables i bought from best buy. monster cables.
    The picture just stays blue.

    Everything is connected right and i set the output on the dvd to component
    nothing works

    Those green ones look like blues....LOL.. unless you look good.I made the same mistake and it was the blue in the green.

    OK.well i know my player if i select component output..I "must" hit ok/enter.why? it seemed to me that it was selected but "really" it wasnt.Did it 2 times.Anyway this is all i can think of.I realy hope you get it to work..

    No selection on the tv "menu" for component input? worth a shot...
