  1. Ave,

I've been having a problem with AVIs that have AC3 audio.
Generally what i do in this case is, use VirtualDubMod to Demux and extract the AC3 audio to a seperate file.

I do my Video Encoding using TMPGEnc Xpress with "Video Only" so i get a video file and i have my AC3 file.

The problem is, whenever i open the Video file in TMGEnc DVD Author and i put this demuxed AC3 audio file as the Source Audio, it gives an error. The error is something like "Illegal Audio Format".

I know for sure the AC3 audio file is fine because it works by itself and its properties are all fine.

I do have workarounds to this... using besweet and all.. converting to wav and then to AC3... but i don't understand why when the AC3 file is working and fine, then why the TMPGEnc DVD Author won't accept it?

    Any help appreciated.
