Hi, my sons games won't run on the computer cos xp doesn't recognise that my video card has D3D, which is does and after considerable frigging around with downloading drivers, the easiest solution seems to be is to put a new video card in.
I don't have any specific requirements apart from D3D and low cost, but that doesn't mean that any extra features wouldn't hurt.

It depends on what kinds of games he wants to play. An MX4000 would be fine for older games.
I don't really understand Australian currency but I think a Radeon 9550 or 9600 non-SE would be safe and cheap bets for newer games. -

That card has probably more grunt than my computer. I'm sure the kids will find another limitation....
