  1. i just used NeroVision Express 2 to make a dvd with some videos on it. The disc burned fine, and it plays on one of my dvd players, but not on my PS2. My PS2 has been able to read dvd+r movies and play them, but for some reason, it wont play the one that was made with NeroVision Express 2. Can anyone solve my problem?

  2. Don't use NeroVision. It's really not good.

It sounds like NVE might not be creating a completely compliant disc. As Matt D recommends, there are quite a few ways to skin this cat, and it's generally regarded that NVE is not exactly the ideal tool for all situations.

Convert whatever your source is to DVD-compliant MPEG-2 using This guide, or any of the the format-specific guides in the guides section - in the convert dropdown box, choose "<your source file format> to DVD". I prefer TMPGEnc Plus but there are plenty of MPEG encoders about.

Then author - I prefer TMPGEnc DVD Author (free 30 day trial) for this, but you can use IFOEDit for single video DVDs or dvdauthorgui for multiple episodes/videos (both are free).

Burn using your favorite burning software.
    If in doubt, Google it.

  5. It's like the old adage, jack of all trades master of none.
It might not be as easy to do it with several different programs but if the discs always work, that's time saved in the end.
TMPGEnc, TMPGEnc Author and Nero 6 haven't let me down yet.
