  1. i have been using Vdub to convert my captured mpg1 files to avi without a problem for quite some time now. suddenly yesterday it started behaving in a wierd manner. I use Xvid 1100kbps and lame mp3 160 kbps but all the our purs seem to have xvid 569 kbps. I tried putting in 3000 kbps for video just to see if it made a difference but it did not. ever video produced comes up at around 600 kbps and this is affecting video quality as u can imagine

    i dont know what to do please help

    reinstall the codec ?
    If in doubt, Google it.

    I've seen Xvid get stuck like that. The only way I found to fix it is to uninstall the codec and install it again.
