hi there.
i have just finished encoding a few 30min 352x288 avi video clips to 720x576 dvd compliant mpeg-2 files using tmpgenc 3.0 xpress, then authored them with tmpge dvd author 1.5 and burnt the file to dvd to play on my tv.
i have since accidentally deleted the original avi video clips from my pc and wanted to know is there a way i can re-convert the authored video-ts / audio-ts files from the dvd back to the original 720x576 mpeg-2 video clips.
i cant get another copy of the original 352x288 avi clips and need to know if i can re-convert the dvd files.
thanks for any help in advance.....GLEN

Yes, what you're talking about is just a DVD to AVI rip - many guides written on the subject.
However, You lost some quality going from AVI to DVD. You'll lose some again, going from DVD back to AVI, if you don't make an uncompressed (or huffyuv) AVI.

thx guys.
feenix, ill try your method, i just downloaded re-jig, and i already got all the tmpge software so gunna give it a go today, thand for everyones help, im sure glad to know maybe i can get the vids back.
edit notes....i have tried re-jig and tmpgenc 3.0 and man, i got my vids back at the original 720x576 mpeg-2 format, and so dam quick, each phase was about 3-5 min each for re-converting them back, thats about 6-10min per 30min video, dam awesome, and quality is still great, video and audio still in sync, going to reduce them now to 352x288 vcd res.
thanks for the help....cheers......GLEN
