I was wondering if it is reallly necessary on movies that are all the way down to 92%? (DVD Shrink 3.2) I only left 5.1 English and Spanish subtitles on Kill Vol. 2 I was thinking of using Maximum Sharpness..

"What It Do"
Huh ????? -
Hey,
The quality settings do make a difference but don't use the default ones. Always use a maximum! In all honesty I can't see the difference between max sharp and max smooth, but on just sharp or smooth you get a black patchy effect on the movie which is really obvious when there's a light background. I'd perhaps just turn the quality enhancement off for a 92% compression. I tend to use it for anything under 85%.

Hi sssax2003.
Unless you choose "Maximum Smoothness", DVD Shrink will only apply AEC if and when neccessary, so it's safe to leave any other setting on all the time.
It is difficult to quantify the influence of Deep Analysis when the compression ratio is > 90%.
If you really need to save time, only select it when the ratio < 90%.
