    I don't know of any other plugins - I always just frameserve to TMPGEnc using either VirtualDubMod, DVD2AVI or using AVISynth scripts. It's only a reader plugin anyway, so I wouldn't think there's going to be too much of a "quality gap" over that or any other MPEG-2 plugins. After all, it is only a decoder.
