Using adobe premiere 6.0
"export clip" with divx 4.11 codec then....
adobe lists about 6 audio compressors, (msft adpcm, etc) and every one of them drops the audio if selected but if I do uncompressed, the audio comes through fine, but at the expense of a much larger file than necessary.
Could it be that I need to install audio playback codecs in order to play or what am I missing here?

This is a quick synopsis of my hardware:
Athlon 1400 with 512 MB of dual data rate RAM on GB7 DXR mainboard
ATI all in wonder Radeon video card with analog capture capability
storage -- as much ATA100 or raid storage as I want -- I own a compu -
what type dv is it? if its type1 try using dv type2 avi, as it has a seperate audio stream
