I am putting VHS video on DVD and I am running into a little sound problem. My bother-in-law is helping me by caputuring the video in Mpeg2 on an external drive and then giving me the drive to put on the computer and burn using Ulead VideoStudio8. I have done three of these already capturing and editing it all by myself. My final project is Mpeg2 352 x 480 but I can't capture at 352 x 480 because I am using my Digital8 camera to send the VHS video to my computer via 1394 and therefore I must start at 720 x 480 avi and then convert it to mpeg 352 x 480 which takes time as many of you know. I don't have any hissing sound when I capture it but when my brother-in-law does there is this loud hiss sound all through the capture. I am just trying to save a lot of time by getting the capturing job done and then all I have to do is cut and paste and then save the job in the captured format ready to be burned to DVD.
Has anyone else had this problem and if so how did you fix it?
