Nero 5.5.4 VCD Problem/

Hi Guys,

Can someone please help me with this. I have NEro 5.5.4 & have the OEM key with the software.What i s happening is when i convert an .avi file to .mpg using TMPGEnc, NERO does not let me make a VCD. The Burn CD button is not highlighted. I have an Iomega External CD writer.I have tried Highlighting the File, The CD but still no luck

I used to use EZ CD Creator 5 platinum & it works fine but EZ CD does not let me create SVCD's so i need to switch to NERO. So please if some one can help me.I would appreciate.

If Nero doesn't recognize your CD burner at all (hence "Burn" being greyed out, it may be because Roxio EZCD creator was not fully uninstalled - meaning that even though the program uninstalled, there is still a registry entry that lists the Roxio cd burner interface (i think its in the lower limits as "pxhelper" - if you do a search, I think you'll find the registry edits required)

I had a problem just trying to get Nero to recognize my drives after uninstalling EZCD. Then I found the fix, and all is well ! !

Thanks for the help, but it does not solve my problem. I still cannot burn VCD`s with NERO. I formatted the entire system Then installed only NERO but still no luck.

There is a way for Nero to detect 'unknown' CD burner.
