  1. hi ppl,

i encountered the following problem lately. downloaded this movie file.
There is 2 file actually. one was a "bin" file e other a "cue" file.

so next i just use "win iso" to extact the "bin" file...

CDI, EXT, MPEGAV, SEGMENT, VCD folder thus created.

I then went on to MPEGAV to open the movie.... zbc.DAT

It was played with Media Classic Player. (klmcodec), e audio was fine, but the pic was fully distorted with alot of squeaking noise.

May i know why issit so, cos of codec ? or file corrupted. Player was tested with other VCD DAT file. it work just fine. also this is not the first time i encounter such problem from movie downloaded from the net...

    PLS ADvise...

Mpeg2 codec required, comes when you install powerdvd, windvd etc.

I have coworkers that buy disks of old music videos from S Amer. They had the identical file format. Odds are the .dat file is the old Intel Video codec "indeo". If you make a copy of the dat file and rename it as a .mpg you should be able to recode it and burn a dvd which will play on a tabletop. Use gspot to check the codec. Indeo is now owned by Ligos, so that will probably be the name gspot lists for the codec.
