  1. I looked around a bit and couldn't find exactly what I was looking for. If there is already a thread on this that I didn't find, please point me in the right direction.

I am a Pink Floyd junkie.

I have all of my floyd cds ripped and on my HDD.

I was wondering if it is possible, using an available tool, to author a DVD that contained a menu system where I could select albums/mp3s to listen to in my DVD player. I know it is capable of playing mp3/DVD-R, etc.... but I am wondering if I can do this? Or would this be like crossing the streams in ghostbusters?

    My Idea:

    - Main menu with graphics, and links to albums
    - Click on an album cover, and see the album
    - Select play album (playlist here) or select individual songs

I am sure I could do this pretty easy with the iintent of dropping it in a computer DVD-Rom, but I would like to make a DVD that I could put in the front room?

    Thoughts? Suggestions?

    All is appreciated.

Don't know about making a menu for MP3's, perhaps to play on a computer, but on a DVD player, you'd be better off sticking to 48khz PCM or AC3.

Sony DVD Architect, and DVD Audio Creator have this function as a template in their authoring.

Instead of authoring the DVD, if your DVD player plays MP3s on a DVD (my Panasonic plays MP3 CDs, but not DVDs), then just put each album into its own folder. When you pop in the disc, the dvd player has a file system browser built in, that will display titles on the screen.
