I use Videostudio8 to get DV AVI clips onto my hard drive. Some of these clips I want to reverse for effect. Someone on the Ulead board said that Vdub can reverse clips. When I try to open or import an AVI clip to Vdub I get this message...
"Couldn't locate decompressor for format 'dvsd' (unknown).
Virtualdub requires a video for Windows (VFW) compatible codec to decompress video. Directshow codecs, such as those used by Windows Media Player, are not suitable".
I have no idea what this means. Do I need another codec? If so which one.
The clips are imported to the hard drive via an analogue to digital converter as DV type1.
Thanks for any help.

Maybe you should try Panasonic VFW DV codec:
