Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw?

I just got home a little while ago, but I had decided not to get up at 4 AM (or 1 AM, OMG Yoda!
). I slept until about 7:30 and went out about 8. I didn't even bother with BB, because I know from last year's experience that I'd be waiting in line for too many hours. For myself, I realized it's not worth it. My wife and I both decided just to sleep in and go out at a reasonable hour.
Since I made a decision not to go to BB, or CC, instead I wound up at Sears. The new "Sears Grand" is not a place I'd normally choose, there aren't many good deals there, but I don't need anything either. I saw a DMM (digital multimeter) for $9.99, so that was the only thing I actually went for. Wife bought two sweaters for $12.00 ea, and that was about it. Oh, yeah. We also got a new flannel sheet set for our bed for $17.00 (originally $65.00). So our grand total for BF? Around $50.00 - probably far less than almost anyone in the stores that I saw.
It was so crowded that I decided not to even try going anywhere else. I hate crowds and the carnival atmosphere, like VTM, I don't like the crass commercialism of the holiday season. Every year, they keep opening the stores earlier and earlier, now some open at 5 AM. Soon they'll be opening at 2 AM or something equally ridiculous.
That's it for our shopping until after Xmas. I'm staying away from stores and malls - far away. I'm always glad when the first week of January comes and it's all over. Then it's off to Vegas for the Consumer Electronics Show, after that, things quiet down.
Whew. :P
BTW, congrats on snagging the PC at BB, Yoda. I saw Fry's had a PC for $99.00 complete (except no monitor, no Windows, but still a good deal).Ethernet (n): something used to catch the etherbunny -

I can put a computer together but buying everything seperately and then having to do it yourself just wasn't looking like a lot fun....
