  1. Hello,

I have some home movies that I shot on my miniDV camcorder. I have 3 tapes in all. I am using virtual dub to join the video files, and I get some kind of "the files you are using have 2 different audio types" and it will not let me join the file.

I believe one was shot in 12 bit and the other was shot in 16 bit.

How can I quickly resolve this, so I can join 2 of these 3 files together?

    Thank you

    Hi Sominex24,

Audacity may be able to re-sample for you - I've not used it for that so don't know for sure. It's regularly recommended and is free.

Goldwave is another good candidate - and it's inexpensive.
There is some corner of a foreign field that is forever England: Telstra Stadium, Sydney, 22/11/2003.

    Carpe diem.

If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much room.
