I checked the compatabilty list and noticed that it said that the Sony DVP-670D will play VCDs. However, I am interested in playing such VCDs as the Star Wars trilogy which appear to only come in PAL format.

The instructions say it will not play PAL or SECAM, however I thought/HOPED that maybe this is not the case at least not always.

Thanks for your help. This is a wonderful site, I just I wish I had found prior to purchasing my DVD player.
