  1. I just found out that ALL my DVD-R's that I burned with home DVD movies (PRODISC brand, DVD-R5) are not recognized by my home DVD player. They do play nevertheless in my PC.
As a workaround in order to watch them I transfer them temporarily to a Verbatim DVD+RW5 which is compatible with my home player.
Can anyone recommend the most versatile and compatible DVD player today in the market?
    Thanks.

  2. I can't remember the last time I heard of an incompatibility problem. Even a new low end model should be sufficient. In the future, test ONE disc on the player and don't wait until your entire catalog is finished. You might want to take one of your discs to a dealer and test before buying. What did you author and burn with?

  7. I considered another post was necessary as the issue was getting more serious. In this post I was just describing the DVD-R not compatible. The other post you're referring to was generated when I found out that also a DVD+RW was unable to be played.
