  1. My KiSS DP-558 records movies directly to *.vob-Files. I can transfer this *.vob with FTP to my computer. If I look at a single *.vob file (i.e. with Chopper XP) sound&movie looks ok.

    (JFYI: DP-558 don't make any *.ifo, *.bup-files)

If I use TMPEGEnc DVD Author (tried 1.5 and 1.6) to make some simple menu's and chapters, the sound stored in the new created *.vob-file in the directory VIDEO_TS is no more in sync with the movie.

How can I make some menus and chapters without "touching" this *.vob-files? Has anyone a idea? What kind of software should I use just to create the things "around" the *.vob?

you can try dvd-lab, select do not demultiplex vobs when you import the vobs.

  3. Unfortunately that crashes DVDLabPro... (Trial-Version)

    What I made:

    a) New Project, PAL, VTS Menu + Movie
    b) Added 2 *.vob files to video & audio-assets
"use this file directly without Demultiplexing (Don't Join VOB set)"
    c) Added one movie to Movie-window
    d) Added a text to Menu-window
    e) Drag & Dropped the Movie1 to text on menuscreen
    f) Clicked on "Compile DVD"-Menupoint and pressed Start-Button

    The process stops at
00:00:00:938 1. Reading VOB is in process...

    with Error-Box:
    "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library"
    Runtime Error!
    Program C:\Programme\Grafik\DVDLabPro\compile.aux
    abnormal program termination

NO WAIT!! After 30 seconds the Error-Box disappears and I can see
    00:00:30:984 Done!

But the Output-folder VIDEO_TS is empty...
    And in the temp-dir-folder are
    2 *.bmp-files and
    a very small (2kb) VTS_01.vob

    What do I wrong?
How can I check, if the KiSS *.vob-files are not DVD-compliant?
    What can I else do?

  4. hi,

I've got a Kiss DP-558 too. I tried myself to burn recorded films to DVD and got the same audio sync problem with TMPEGEnc DVD Author. Did you InvisibleMan78 or someone else solved the problem and can give me a hint or tell me what tool to use.

To use DVDLab isn't good, because you cannot get rid of advertisings.

The DP-558 records the audio in AC-3 format, I think it would be better to have ordinary stereo. I wrote to Kiss hotline about that but didn't got an answer yet.

    thanks for your answers,
    michael_aus_b.
