  1. I'm getting the 'Invalid Field in Command', 'Could Not Perform End of Disc-at-Once' error on Nero.

I searched this site and saw where a lot of people say it could be caused by the media being used. The thing is, i've used these exact dvdr's before. The last 4 I tried gave me that error. I'm not really apt to wasting another dvdr until I can pinpoint the problem.

I have also tried ripping w/ a different program, and still got the same error. Used both DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink to rip to the HD.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  3. My drive is only about 2-3 months old. I have used the exact media numerous, numerous times before w/o any problems. Luckily I only have about 2 of those discs left and i'll be buying a different set that I know works.

I have never messed w/ firmware because I read if you don't do it right that you can ruin the drive. And seeing as how I know nothing about updating it, I am kinda cautious about doing it.

    Thanks.

It depends on what brand of drive you have.

LiteOn drives are a real bastard to flash, and one can never be sure that the supposed results have actually taken place. Especially with RPC1 firmware.

LG drives, on the other hand, are so easy to flash that my grandmother, an extreme technophobe, could do it.

If we knew more about your system confirguration, we could help more.
