  1. Trying to burn a 5.3 gig avi file to archive on dual layer disc. using nero i cant use files larger than 2 gig, which mean i would have to cut the avi file into three pieces. is there any other program that will allow large file burning?

are you having nero encode the file then burn as a DVD movie, or are you just storing the avi file?

From what I heard, using DVD-ISO has a 2 gig limit in NERO, but UDF does not.

try using UDF instead of ISO mode then.

I have read a few times that people were experiencing problems with 2gb+ filesize with ISO mode, but not with UDF mode.

hmmm, i've been doing some reading and a few people are getting that error with DVD+R and not DVD+RW.

    try updating the firmware

if it still goes wrong, it is completely beyond me (unless of course you are possibly using an older version of Nero that may or may not support large files)
