hi all.

all i can add to this thread is to say that my EPSOM R210 (new model here in aust) prints my discs perfectly, i use RITEK G05 (glossy white face) and get much better results with these than the matt finish like the PRINCO discs.
those who cant seem to get it right or are bagging the hell out of the printer because they cant get it to print properly are most likely to be those who dont take the TIME and EFFORT to learn about the printer and its capabilities. do your homework right and YOU WILL get it right, BUT listen to those on here that are trying to give GOOD ADVICE and you will get some good prints.

also, get some good label software and try them all out, a few good ones have been mentioned in this thread, do a google search or whatever but learn from the experts and dont be so impatient like some of you seem to be.

for me, the RITEK disc prints far better than any others i tried, im sure the GLOSSY surface is better because its more like the good quality print paper u buy for photos (my opinion of coarse) but go get a few different brand discs, but dont use crappy media just because it prints well, i use the RITEK G05 because its the best dvd-r and cd-r media ive ever used and im a videographer and dvd processor (vhs to dvd conversions) i do this work all the time and believe i have some knowledge of this topic.

and for what its worth, yes i do still sometimes use the old FELT TIP PEN as well, just seems to work so well doesnt it.

cheers everyone.....GLEN

dont hold your breathe for canon to release its expected disc printer, its gunna be a while yet, and ill NOT be trading my epsom in for a canon when the R210 works a treat and it should work a treat for everyone.
btw, as mentioned keep those print heads clean and if you dont use the printer regularly, take some time to print out a color test page a few times a week to keep them working.
