Hi,
I have searched many forums and many sites but still haven't found an answer.
I am trying to convert a DVB-T stream into an XviD-AVI-File. I have read this guide at doom9.org and have done all what was said there.
The first step is to demux the DVB-T stream into video and audio files with ProjectX. While I successfully did that, I don' really understand why. Moreover, when doing the last step described in the guide, Gordian Knot converts the formerly MPEG video stream into XviD and and converts the formerly MP2 audio stream into MP3 - but it does not put them together into the AVI file. I found out I could do this afterwards with VirtualDubMod, but I keep asking myself: Why splitting the audio/video streams at all?
If this question has been answered before, I apolgize. In this case, can anybody give me a link?
