    Hi

I have a Adaptec Videoh Dvd AVC2210 capure kit which I have installed with Sonic MyDVD software Ver 4.5. Im running Windows XP pro on a 3.0GHZ P4 with 512Mb. I know the Sonic software is quite an old version.
But after capturing a home VHS video and producing a very good DVD I thought Id stick with this version. But the problem Im having is when I try and open up the created MPEG in explorer I recieve an error message telling me " Windows Explorer has encountered and error and needs to shut down" If I ignore this message I can open up the file and carry on but eventually I need to close the error message window down. which then closes my MPEG.
Does anyone have any ideas on this problem or is it down to my old version of Sonic.

    Many thanks in advance

Further to the thread to which I referred, does the error message thrown by explorer indicate any files in which the exception is occurring? In my case it was a Ulead file, but yours may be some other bad codec.

You might be eligible for a free upgrade to your Sonic software. It might or might not help you.
