Hi. I need the part of the movie Silence of the Lambs where Hannibal Lectar is eating the security guards face. How do I cut out just that one part of the movie? What software do I need? Do I have to convert it to a different file type, if so, how do I do that? Thanks

If you are planning to use any part of a movie for something other than yourself, beware of copyright laws, you can get into big trouble if displaying it anywhere.

It steps you through the process of doing an entire chapter to a DivX AVI. To isoltate a scene, all you'd need to do is set in and out points in virtualdub-mpeg2.If in doubt, Google it. -
Rip the VOB you need with DVD Decrypter and then use MPEG-VCR to trim & save the part you need.
