I'm looking to buy a second DVD player to play DivX and Europe DVDs. I have s multisystem projector that plays both PAL and NTSC so I need a mulisystem DVD.
Based on this sites rating, Philips DVP 642 is the best choice a well as Philips DVP 720SA. My question is what is the major difference between then? Anyone compared them both? Ideally I wanted to puy a black DVD since my entire theatre system is black but that doesn't bother me, unless i can get a good black dvd divx player.
please help.
thanks!

I'm biased because I've got a 720SA.
But, does the 642 do subtitling in divx? Not sure.
But a BIG (and I mean BIG) is the fact that Philips 720SA uses the Mediatek 1389EE Chipset. The Philips 642 uses an ESS Chipset.
