Hello all.

I created a VCD in VCDEasy v1.1.6 from an mpeg mile. I added chapters. It plays just fine in my PC (using WinDVD) and in two stand-alone DVD players. However on my PC and in my nicer stand-alone player (a Zenith 318), the clock counter ticks by too fast. As I said, it plays fine-- no audio/video out of sync, no playing of the video at the wrong speed that might indicate a fps error, etc. The clock counter just is too quick.

For example, my second chapter (first is at 00:00) was created at 3:27 in VCD Easy. On the Zenith and PC, when this chapter comes up, it's right at 4:00, and the margin increases from there. A VCD that I know is actually 58:09 winds up appearing to be about 1:06:14.

The chapter points are in their correct spots-- it's just that the time shown on the DVD's display does not match the time shown to me when I created the chapter points in VCD Easy.

On my cheap DVD player, an old Daewoo, the time is displayed accurately.

Now....one interesting side note. The mpeg file I originally was going to use for the VCD was giving me the infamous autopadding error in VCD Easy, so I created a new mpeg from the old one, by running the old one through VCD Gear, mpg -> mpg, with "fix errors" turned on. The resulting mpeg was a bit larger, and VCD Easy did not object to it. I'm not sure if this could be related, but I thought I should mention it.

Does anyone know why some DVD playes, and even my WinDVD, would have its counter clicking by too fast during a VCD? I have a feeling it must be some setting in VCD Easy or something.

Thanks for any help.
