how to convert KVCD to Xvid, or DVD?

i have this file: 'The Perfect Score.DVDRiP.KVCD-ErD', how can I convert this to Xvid, or DVD? is it even possible? i have tried searching but couldn't come up with anything useful..
another file i have is a quicktime movie: 'LOTR Return Of The King.xl.3ivx', i can't seem to play this on divx or windows media player. on Divx it gives me this error: This file cannot be opened 'StreamSourceFilter::StartFromBeginning(0) out of readLimit range: -1'
on windows media player it gives me the following error: 'need one or more codecs'
how do i convert this to divx, or DVD?

2 things here.. one is there is a guide on this page if you just look around a bit.. the second is.. you named a downloaded file there.. and thats warez .. even though thats out on DVD you gave a name to a DL file.. this is not allowed here..
