  1. Hi!
I was told that I should use one of these programs to extract VOB files as unmodified / same quality bitrate MPEG-2 file.

Can someone PLEASE tell me how I do it with either of these programs?
I've read all guides and I've tested basically anything in these programs. There is no option that is even close associated with anything that has to do with DVD > MPEG-2 extraction.

Please could you explain to me in few easy steps how to do this.
Don't point me to another link (unless there IS a concrete explanation there).

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello,

    This guide will help:

    https://www.videohelp.com/guides.php?link=638

Some programs like tmpgenc dvd author will read the ripped vobs directly (though if it's 5.1 audio you won't be able to edit it in tda, but you can still have the chapters and make a menu and such).

  3. Hi and thanks for the reply!
I've managed to rip one of the DVDs using DVD Decrypter, by following the instructions that can be found on the link. But the sound still gets extracted as VOB file. Why?

  4. Open that extracted VOB with VobEdit and demux it. An *.ac3 audio file will be generated.
