Just a tip to increase your chances of making the "price match" work in case the checker questions you about the coupon, make sure that you call customer service first and ask him/her (likely a supervisor) if they accepted competitors' coupons (even though you already know that they do) and he/she will say "yes" and get his/her name (this is the most important part) so that when you go to get rung up, you can quote that supervisor and the checker will ring you up.

The first Best Buy that I went to, the checker appeared to not know if she could price match the coupon or not so she asked a tenured or lead checker and she was about to tell me that they don't price match that particular coupon and I cut her off and said I'd called and spoke to Joe Blow (the name of the supervisor/customer service rep) and he said it was OK. As soon as she heard the name, she immediately recognized the person and gave my checker the green light to go forward with the price match. (I was actually told by the customer service supervisor on the phone to go to customer service to see him and have him review the coupon once I came into the store. But as I explained, it never came to that.) I then went to another BB and the checker ran the price match without a hitch. Even at 50 for $20 is already a great deal (I've never seen it any lower than $.40 per disc). But $.20per disc is definitely a steal.

I got several spindles of the 8X +Rs and they were all made in Japan.

WOW - thanks for the tip

I just got back from a Best Buy here in the Philly area. They had both the 50 packs 8X Fuji DVD+R and DVD-R in both flavors (Japan and Taiwan). I bought one each of the Japan type and used the Circuit City B1G1 coupon - asked customer service first and they said they would honor it.

So for $19.99 + 6% PA sales Tax I got one 50 pack DVD+R (Taiyo Yuden YUDEN000T02) and one 50 pack DVD-R (Taiyo Yuden TYG02). Could only get one offer per visit, but they even gave me back the coupon. 100 disks will keep me going for quite awhile, since I still have some Fuji (Japan) and Ridata (Taiwan).

This forum rocks - thanks again.

You know, most Best Buy stores will let you buy multiple items with one single coupon. Buy 8 (4 paid + 4 free) with one coupon, or any combo you like. I know some have done it.

I felt like saving some for other people, so only got 100 (2 packs)

No to ruin your glory, but the FujiFilm discs using the B1G1 coupon is cheap but quality discs whereas the Staples deal is cheap price, cheap disc. Besides, you have to send in a rebate and the cost per disc is only a couple of cents cheaper than FujiFilm. Just not worth it my friend.

  29. I got some of those discs in a trade awhile back, some worked others didn't. Some of the ones that worked had bad spots. I'll pass on those things no matter how cheap they are.
