I just watched the new episode of the simpsons. And I loved it. It seems they've gone back to their more edgier past. For a while the show seemed very "water downed." I'm glad to see they have returned to being funny

I saw the Treehouse of horror for this season even though I promised myself never to watch a new Simpsons episode again after the god-awful 15th season. The treehouse of horror sucked so bad and was so unfunny and out-of-touch. I was actually going to write a long review of it and post it on this site but decided against it out of laziness and the urge not to watch the episode again even for review purposes. I decided not to watch any more of the 16th season. And sure enough, I didn't watch todays'.

I don't think anybody who likes the new Simpsons could possibly be a "true" Simpsons fan, that is that they "get" the old Simpsons. If you like both, then you don't "get" what made the Simpsons funny and special in the first place because they have now completely lost it.

Please god, cancel The Simpsons, punish the new writers and send the currently under-works Simpsons movie back to HELL.

I'm sick of the Treehouse of Hooror episodes. Then again, I never liked those epiaodes.

Some of the ones I like the best are the ones where they recreate historical stories.

Loved it when they talked about the dogs anal problems. Homer at the womens symposium was hilarious. I still can't believe that Homer said penis.

The TREEHOUSE this year was pathetic, and I'm a supporter of the show. I don't want it canceled, it still has gems, but some of the recent ones... ugh.

Seems like just trying to get cheap laughs. That's something The Simpsons used to never rely on. The Simpsons is just turning into a cheap knock off of Family Guy.

You're absolutely right conquest. Except calling the recent Simpsons a cheap Family Guy knockoff is a little too generous. A Polex watch you buy on the street for $5 is a cheap knockoff. The new Simpsons are more like a broken generic brand watch with a cracked LCD display and one wristband missing being sold by a homeless guy for food.
