  1. I need a few clips from a documentary on DVD, is it necessary to rip the whole documentary (approximately 2.5hrs running time) from DVD to my computer? Also, what programs can I download (or purchase) to make this possible?

    Nope, you don't have to rip the entire dvd just use DVD Shrink. Check my dvd mixed guide
