For all AVIs and MPGs where there IS information given when you select the Summary Tab for the file Properties, the video adjustment controls (color, brightness etc) DON'T work in both PowerDVD and WinDVD.
For DVDs, and AVIs and MPGs where there IS NOT information given when you select the Summary Tab for the file Properties, the video adjustment controls (color, brightness etc) DO work in both PowerDVD and WinDVD.
I am at a loss to know what to do as most of my AVIs and MPGs have encoded information given (codec, frame rate etc) on the Summary tab and I cant use any video adjustments with PowerDVD and WinDVD. I have tried changing from an NVIDIA to a RADEON graphics card but still the same problem. I also saw the same problem on a completely different PC.
Anyone any ideas.
Thanks
David

The only thing i notice that seems amiss is that YVYU and VYUY are listed as not available when i do a PowerDVD diagnostic test.
YUY2, UYVY and YV12 are listed as available.
The test also says i have DirectX version 5.03 which is strange because i definately installed the latest DirectX. I am using Windows XP.
