Made both VDC's and SVCD's with TMPEGenc from a DVD rip. Both have audio out of sync with video. Problem gets progressively worse as mpg runs (fraction of a second out of sync at start to 3-4 seconds out of sync at end (1-3/4 hr). Have tried using DVD2AVI to make the wav file and also VOBAudio to make the wav. Both result in same sync problem. Tried de-multiplexing the mpg and re-multiplexing with a mp2 I made from the VOBAudio wav using SCMPX. Still same sync problem. I need some help please!

Well I am still unable to determine what caused the problem but I did find a way to fix the problem that others may find helpful. As I said the sync was near perfect at the start of the mpg but by the end was over 6 seconds off (delayed). I used the audio gap correction under the Source Range Option in Advanced Tools in Settings to help me zero in on the delay time by just making brief snippets of the mpg from very near the end of the movie changing the setting of the audio gap correction until the snippet was in sync. I then used an audio editor (Soundforge in my case) to "time compress" the .wav file by that amount (6.25 seconds in this case). The "time compressed" .wav was then used to make the mpg and voila! It was in sync throughout.
