I've been using tooLame for the past several months and am quite happy with the results. There is one audio .wav file that keeps causing tooLame to crash. I've tried changing the different command prompts with toolame but it keeps happening. Are there any other mp2 encoders out there that I could try or some kind of utility to check the wav file with? I really need to because I already deleted the source file and the program that I recorded is rarely broadcast and has never been released on video.

Use SCMPX, I use it as a sample rate coverter/mp2 encoder when SSRC or tooLame fail. Search in yahoo (if you check here I posted the address earlier, it's in a topic about downsample).
