I honestly have no clue how to describe this but here it goes,

I created an MPEG file which turned outt o be way to big so I thought "Turn it into an AVI" which I was going to but it ended up being not that much smaller, so I figured WMV (it's a clip that someone asked me to get for them so I figure WMV would make it small and transfer fast) so I fire up Windows Movie Maker 2.1 and go through the stuff, load up my MPEG file and it's only one frame (not odd since the clips are about 6 minuts and the other is less then 30 seconds) so I drag it down to the storyboard and go to save it as a wmv... Well it then locks up and crashes on me every time.

I tried it with another MPEG file and get the same result I try it with an AVI file and it works perfectly fine but it has the (DIVX) logo in the lower right which annoys me since it's not a DivX AVI file anymore.

anyone know what could cause this?
