  1. Hi everyone,
I'm new to the whole AIW thing. I have been floating around and reading the posts trying to figure out what is what. And, since I installed the card a few days ago, I have been VERY pleased. THe capture has worked fine, the videogame performance is a HUGE step up from my Voodoo 3000, and the TV tuner has worked like a dream......until yesturday. I have a Hollywood Magic card that I use to play DVD/VCD/MPEG files on my TV (composite cables to the back of the TV). Yesturday, having just captured and edited last nights Buffy episode I sat down to show it to my girlfriend (you can imagine my pride...). And then....nothing. I hit the TV out button in the DVDStation program and nothing. I checked the connections in the back....they were fine...still nothing. Then I found out...it won't even recognize or play DVDs anymore. NOt on my TV OR on my computer. When I hit play in the station it whirls the DVD once and then stops. So I uninstalled Mediacenter and uninstalled DVDStation and downloaded the latest Hollywoodmagic + drivers....then I reinstalled the Multimedia, installed the new drivers and lastly installed the DVD Station. And nothing worked. Now the weird thing is that DVDStation will still play video files...I was watching my Buffy recording on it...but the TV out won't work and it won't recognize DVDs (or rather it sees them...it says "The Patriot" under disc but it won't play them). I KNOW this is something to do with ATI's drivers because all of this has worked beautifully up until now. Does anyone have any suggestions? Please tell me that at least one of you has my same setup?

    THanks in advance,

    Mark

p.s. The other odd thing is that when I reinstalled media center it DIDN'T install the ATI DVD player....weird huh?
