  1. When I load some movies in Virtualdub not all a box pops up saying this

"Virtualdub has detected an inproper VBR audio encoding in the source avi file (audio stream 1) the current preference is to rewrite the audio header with standard CBR values during processing for better compatibility this may introduce up to 18904 ms of skew from the video stream if this is unacceptable decompress the entire audio stream to an uncompressed WAV file and recompress with a constant bitrate encoder (bitrate 128.4 + 16.5 kbps)"

Can some one please explain to me what this means and how I can fix the audio step by step

Im new to all this so any help I would appricate

    Hi Chronic716,

Well, I know what it means, but before I can help it's be good to know what you're trying to achieve... Then the help can be better tailored to your needs.
There is some corner of a foreign field that is forever England: Telstra Stadium, Sydney, 22/11/2003.

The few times this has happend to me I just closed the warning dialog and continued with:

    1) Save WAV on the File menu to save the audio as a WAV file.

    2) Then select Audio -> WAV Audio and open the WAV file you just created.

    3) If you want to use MP3 (or some other) compression select Audio -> Full Processing Mode then Audio -> Compression.

I didn't have any problems with audio/video sync when I did this but I hear it's possible.
