  1. When a mpg files is put through svcd additional files etc are created.
    IE,
    audio ts
    video ts
    original mpg file & mpg file _DVD.mpg ?

    Please can you tell me why it produces the _DVD.mpg and what the difference is to the standard mpg file.

    Also if i am doing it so i create a TS folder can a tick be taken out of a box so the _DVD.mpg file is not created thus saving time.

  2. I believe the reason that the mpg file has the _DVD is that (and I am assuming that you are using SVCD2DVD) is that the _DVD.mpg is the repatched mpeg file (adds the _DVD part so it doesnt erase the original).

  3. Unless your mpeg file is already in dvd spec, your file will be processed (both audio and video) to simulate the dvd requirements. If it is already in dvd format it will jump to generating the _TS folders without creating the _DVD.mpg.
