I use TMPGEnc to convet my divx files with the audio source from virtual dub everything converts ok and I seems ok but when I burn it onto a cd to be watched on my dvd player I get sync problems the video seems to speed up aswell but the main problem is audio sync. The film will play ok and then go out of sync for say 3 sec and then correct itself . I have tried using winoncd and nero , I have also tried another CD writer same problem. Tried cd on another dvd recorder same problem. Would multiplex solve this and can someone explain what multiplex does.
Thanks

well for one, use original vid clip
dont use virtual dub then encode.
Make sure your fps in ntsc is 29.97 fps always and 23.967 for pal always
make sure your bitrate isnt so high that your dvd player doesn support it(IE- 2000 is some limitations)
make sure the Hz is 44100 or 48000 at no lower than 96
make sure your stream type is either standard video cd or mpeg-1 system automatic -
sean madison - ' Make sure your fps in ntsc is 29.97 fps always and 23.967 for pal always
Sean isn't pal 25.0 fps ??
This may explain my sync problems with divx to vcd
Thanks

I use the instructions on the vcdhelper web site for tmpgenc if I open the film and I see 23.967 then I load the settings for that fps, should I always use
23.967 for pal?. Is it right the way I am loading the fps. -
NO 23.967 is NTSC FILM.
PAL IS 25FPS. Check the framerate in virtualdub and then use the right template in TMPGEnc.
