    After selecting a avi file for encoding Tmpgenc analyses the field order, resolution etc..it says video size is 704X480...i know for sure my files are DV files 720X480..I even generated a file using a 720X480 bmp picture.
    reinstaiing the tmpenc didnt help..any suggestions why is this happening/how to fix it??

    Use either AVICodec or GSpot on your DV AVIs to definitely confirm your beliefs.

    Hmmm... Odd. Not seen that one.

    Have you tried doing a test encode of a short clip (say 30 seconds) to see what the resolution is of the resultant MPEG? I'm assuming you're planning to go to DVD at 720 x 480...

    I get this too. Do you use Mediastudio or any program made by ULEAD to capture your video initially? I use Mediastudio. In TMPEG I just change it from 704 to 720 and it takes it but it does initially see my video as 704.
