I was not trying to encode with it, I was using the Add DVD FILE option & adding menus to a compiled DVD that didn't have menus, I have done this several times before, but never an error like this.

  6. Yes, I got that error before. I was trying to use an older version of titlewriter to add titles to a DVD I had authored. I could open the DVD until I titlewritered it, then I got that error...

The author was good enough to update the program so now I don't have that problem.

You could try opening the DVD's IFO file with titlewriter and see if it has a title in it. a link to the file would be

    http://forum.digital-digest.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=39486&perpage=15&pagenumber=2

Down near the bottom, I believe I mentioned the error you are having on page one, the link points to page two.

I believe I ended up redoing the DVD and having to rechapter it at the time. The old version didn't work on my sony player and was not compatable with DVD author, the new one is both. If I'd thought I was ever going to buying a changer I'd have been adding titles earlier on.

    Good Luck
