Hi all
I would say that generally, my Apex AD-5131 plays all sorts (compliant, non-compliant) of (x,S,etc)VCD's flawlessly, but I found one that is curious to me.
I authored a normal VCD with 2 program selections (each with a few chapters) and a menu with the 2 selections using VCDEasy.
What's strange to me is that on one of the selections, the audio goes out of sync by a 1/4 second (ahead) or so, whilst the other selection is fine.
Now I exmained the mpegs before creating the VCD and they played fine (and they appear to be compliant NTSC mpeg 1 streams).
Even stranger, when I put that same "problem" VCD CD I created into the computer and play it with WinDVD, the offending selection exhibits no audio sync problem.
What sorts of things generally might contribute to such scenario and how might I remedy the situation?
Jim
edit:
I guess the problem is a 'limitation' of my Apex.
It plays without problems on my Yamakaway DVD-238.
...must be a problem with the older chipset in the Apex.
Interesing.
