The best affordable DVD Recorder?

How about an RCA DRC8300N? Or a GoVideo VR4940? Anyone hear good or bad about this player?

Or would that Pioneer be better?

I bought an RCA DVR a couple years ago from Circuit City that was a combination hard drive recorder and DVD player-only. It was a piece of junk and I happily took advantage of Circuit City's no questions asked return policy.

Thanks Frobozz. Seems like those RCA and GoVideo got some mixed reviews. Maybe I should look more into the Pioneer DVR-RT500

Go Video is Samsung, trash. Does RCA make anything decent, if so I haven't seen it. Pioneer would definitely be far better than either of the others.

I like LG the best it supports DVD-RAM you can use DVD-RAM asa hard drive. you can get one at www.newegg.com
