    Hello People,

First, thanks all of you for accepting and welcoming me here!

This is one of the greatest sites on the Net including endless tutorials, tools, etc and of course this Forum.

    Second, is my problem...

I ripped Last Samurai using DVD Decrypter to my HDD. I used File mode and Select All files.

Then I used DVD Shrink 3.2.0.15 to shrink Main Movie along with AC3 5.1-ch English audio and burned it with Nero.

All seemed to me fine, but when I tried to play it with stand alone DVD player I heard commentary over main audio. I tried to play it with my PC DVD-ROM but no luck.

I thought maybe I chose wrong audio stream so I did shrink it again. This time with AC3 2-ch English audio.

But no luck again. Same damn commentary over main audio

I did it many times before and never had such problem

    What am I doing wrong?
Please help me out in this situation

    TIA,
    taboo

    Welcome aboard taboo

First of all, have you tried turning off the commentary from the DVD menu while it's in the player?

Is this the only English audio track available?

Yes. Thats the only English audio track available.

Strange thingy is that commentary goes right above main movie audio so you can hear it (main movie audio) on background.

Although I can preview it normally without any problem in DVD Shrink preview window.

Any thoughts why this is happening?

    TIA

  4. I've just experienced this exact same problem with Shawshank Redemption. No matter what I do, its impossible to get rid of the commentary. In fact, in the features menu, there is no option to turn the commentary on or off. Unfortunately, for some reason, the default seems to be on. Any reason why?

  5. I did have the same problem, but when I pressed the "AUDIO" button on my DVD player remote control to change to the different "AUDIO" mode and guess what, it worked even I knew there was only 1 English audio track on the main movie. I don't know how the commentary audio from the "SPECIAL FEATURES" goes to the main movie but all I need to do is just change the audio mode in the remote and I can live with that... That's it!

    Hey DEMEN,

Thanks a lot man for your reply even if its been one month and a half ago.
Unfortunately it did not work in my case.

I think this commentary is some kinda protection. It goes right over main movie sound which you can barely hear on background.

Btw I like only MAIN MOVIE files as they give better quality

    Any other thoughts, ppl?

    Thank you in advance,
