Didn't hear about the retraction. Guess it wasn't as widely reported as the original story. Doesn't surprise me though. Can't believe everything you hear...or read

I was also reading in today's paper how the dollar is losing value around the world and has hit a new low against the Euro. If it keeps going like this, then eventually there will be many more billionaires (in US$$) in Europe than in the USA just due to the exchange rate.

Yea, he started out as lead guitarist of the British group, The Roulettes.

He later joined up with Rod Argent and was a member of his band.

Some great songs in there. It's interesting how some people like that can go through their life being nearly unknown yet write songs that everyone knows and likes.

I happened to catch the Sandy Stewart video at the time.

Must've been fast, since they only showed it a few times. I had to wait for hours for them to show it and had the VCR ready. I think that was around Feb/Mar of 1984 IIRC. I didn't have a stereo VCR, but I guess I could redub it in stereo from the LP.

The song she did with Stevie Nicks, I pretend, could've been a hit as well.

Along with several other tracks on that album. The Blue Yonder LP wasn't as good, but had a couple of good songs on it too, like "Windsong" which was supposed to be a single but was never released AFIAK. I have a 12" single of it, as well as the LP. I used to have the posters from the cover of the Cat Dancer LP too.

...looks like they did let themselves go after they faded from the scene. I can see why they decided not to get back together, the media would have a field day with the comparisons to how they were in the old days.

Anyway, they probably have more money than they know what to do with and have no reason to get back together. I seem to recall they were the largest corporation in Sweden at their peak.

Baldrick's probably the largest Corporation in Sweden now. But is he at his peak. Actually, I don't really want to know if he's at his peak. :P

I attended the MAMA MIA musical that based all ABBA songs. It was a great show.


I recommend the ABBA, The Definitive Collection cd. It comes with a DVD of ABBA music video.

I see the MAMA MIA commercials all the time and hear them on the radio. They got another one going on at the same time that's based on the songs of Queen. I gotta see that one, if only for the scenes where they sing Flat Bottom Girls & Bohemian Rhapsody. I also hope they have the song 'Bicycle'. That's one of my favorites.
